Golden Goddess Face Mask

This is one of my go to face masks when my face needs some overall healing!
It is inspired by the ancient Indian system of healing, Ayurveda.
The power ingredient in this mask, Turmeric (aka the Golden Goddess) is a very medicinal plant and is used in many ayurvedic remedies. Turmeric contains a wide range of antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic and anti-inflammatory properties. Which are all fancy, scientific ways of saying: It will make your skin glow!! It removes bacteria, evens out skin tone (great for acne scars!!), prevents acne, and gives you a natural shine.
The second ingredient in this mask is chickpea flower (aka besan or gram flour). This is another ingredient that is used in many Ayurvedic skin care potions. It removes oiliness from skin, fights pimples, evens out skin tone and may lighten skin tone a bit.
I also add lemon peel powder, a few drops of essential oil (I used lavender oil, other good options: tree tree, sandalwood, clove) and a mix of apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and water (this is what will make it pasty and easy to apply).

These are the dry ingredients: Chickpea flower, turmeric, & lemon peel powder

I like to keep it as natural as possible so I had fun making this outside in nature to maximise the healing properties and give thanks to Mother Earth for gifting us all these natural remedies :)

So first mix all the dry ingredients (in a bowl... or in a leaf.... if ya wanna go realllyyy natural hehe)

Then add some drops of an essential oil of your choice (lavender, tea tree, sandalwood)

Add the mix of liquid until it becomes pasty and easy to apply (you don't need to much! be sure to start with a little bit and slowly add more)

Mix with your hands, put a nice intention into your creation, infuse with love, and voila :)

Apply all over your face, let it work its magic for about 15-30 minutes and rinse with warm water. I like to moisturise my face with some coconut oil afterwards to finish off this beauty ritual :)
